Data not showing up
Work out why a raid, kill or character is missing from the website and get it to appear.
You killed a boss or finished a raid and the website does not show it. Work through the causes below in order. The first one is by far the most common.
The game has not saved yet
Symptom: The raid just happened. The companion app is running but its Activity list shows no new upload.
Cause: World of Warcraft writes addon data to disk only when you /reload, log out or quit. Until then the raid exists only in the game’s memory, and the app has nothing to read.
Fix: Type /reload in game. The app uploads within a few seconds. See How sync works.
The app is not running or not signed in
Symptom: You reloaded, but nothing was uploaded.
Cause and fix:
- The app is closed. Look for the GuildPro icon in the system tray. If it is not there, start the app. It uploads whatever is on disk when it starts, so nothing is lost.
- You are signed out. The app shows the Sign in with Discord screen, or the Activity list says “not signed in — data stays local until you sign in”. Sign in. See Pair the app.
- The connection was revoked. The list says “this computer is no longer connected — pair it again” or “upload failed — this computer is no longer connected — sign out and pair it again”. App 0.2.11 and earlier say “upload failed — token rejected — roll it at /import” instead, which means the same thing. Click sign out at the bottom of the window if you are still signed in, then sign in again. You do not need to roll anything.
The app is not watching your game folder
Symptom: The top of the app says “no WoW folder”, or the Activity list says “no World of Warcraft install found — add one below” or “no WoW install to read yet”.
Cause: Your game is not in one of the folders the app checks by itself.
Fix: On the Settings tab, under Watching, click Add a WoW folder… and pick your World of Warcraft folder. If you see “added folder has no WTF/Account under it”, you picked the wrong folder. Pick the one that contains WTF.
Also check the list under Watching. Your account should be listed with its game version. A line such as “…and 3 account folders with no GuildPro data, still watched” means those accounts have never saved any Guild Pro data.
The addon is not installed or not loaded
Symptom: There is no sword button on your minimap and /gp does nothing. Or the Activity list says “no GuildPro addon installed at” followed by a folder.
Fix:
- In the app, open Settings, Addons in your game, and click Install on the row for your game version.
- Quit World of Warcraft completely and start it again.
/reloaddoes not load a newly installed addon.
See Install the addon.
The addon was not recording
Symptom: The addon is installed, but the run is missing from the Runs tab of the in-game panel as well.
Hover the minimap button during a raid and read the status line.
| Status line | Meaning | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| “Recording” followed by the instance name | Working. The dot on the button is green. | Nothing to do |
| “In (instance) — waiting for the first boss pull” | Nothing is recorded until a boss is pulled | Pull a boss |
| “In (instance) (id …) which is not in the boss data, so nothing will record” | The addon does not know this instance. The dot is red. | Report the instance name and id. See Get help. |
| “Not in an instance” | Raid data is only recorded inside dungeons and raids | Nothing to do |
If a second clear of the same instance was added to the first run instead of starting its own, type /gp new before the next pull.
The upload reached the site but you cannot see it
Symptom: The Activity list shows “uploaded” with new raids or events, but your guild’s pages do not show them.
Cause: The upload was filed under a different guild, or under no guild. This happens when you are not a member of the guild on the website, or the guild’s realm does not match your character’s realm.
Fix: See Wrong guild or realm.
If the list shows “already imported — nothing changed” or “already up to date”, the site already has everything in that file. The missing data was never saved to it. Go back to the first cause.
The upload failed
Symptom: The Activity list shows a line starting “upload failed —” or “could not read the file —”.
| Message | Fix |
|---|---|
| “upload failed — could not reach https://guildpro.io” | A network problem. The app retries by itself, starting 30 seconds later. |
| “upload failed — this export is too large for the site to take” | See Import too large. |
| “upload failed — this computer is no longer connected — sign out and pair it again” | Sign out of the app and sign in again. |
| “upload failed — token rejected — roll it at /import” (app 0.2.11 and earlier) | The same problem. Sign out of the app and sign in again. You do not need to roll anything. |
| “could not read the file” | The file may have been locked by another program for a moment. The app retries by itself. |
Still stuck
Click Sync now in the app, then copy the last few lines of the Activity list and send them with your report. See Get help.
