Sync Warcraft Logs parses

Pull your guild's Warcraft Logs parses into Guild Pro and see where they are shown.

Guild Pro can read your raiders’ parses from Warcraft Logs and match each recorded raid to its log. Syncing is started by an officer. It never runs on its own.

Before you start

  • You need the officer or admin role.
  • Your guild needs a realm set. Without one, the sync reports “No realm to search Warcraft Logs with.”
  • Characters are looked up on Warcraft Logs by character name and realm. A character that has never been logged has no parse.

Sync parses

  1. Open Guild roster in your guild’s sidebar, at /g/your-guild/rosters (“your-guild” is your guild’s address).
  2. Select Sync parses.
  3. Wait for the message. The page reloads when it finishes.

The message reports both halves of the job, for example “Checked 40 characters, parses for 22. Matched 2 raids to their logs (48 raiders).”

What one sync does

Characters. Up to 40 characters are checked per press, starting with those checked longest ago. A character is not asked about again for 24 hours. In a guild with more than 40 characters, press the button again to continue through the roster. When every character has been checked in the last day, the message says “Characters already up to date.”

Raid nights. Your 12 most recent recorded raids are matched to Warcraft Logs reports by time. Guild Pro searches by your guild’s name and realm first. If that finds nothing, it looks through the reports of a few raiders who were in the raid. A match is only kept if the bosses in the log are the bosses your raid pulled.

A raid with no log yet is looked for again on each sync for 14 days. If you sync before the log has finished uploading, sync again later.

Re-read raids already matched

Hold Shift and select Sync parses to read nights that are already stored again. Use this when a log was updated after you synced.

Where parses are shown

PlaceWhat it shows
Guild rosterEach character’s best parse. Pick a raid on the Parses bar, or Best raid for their best across all raids. The header shows the average.
Roster Builder and Comp builderEach character’s best parse across all raids, and the median for the group.
Signup sheets in DiscordThe character’s median parse for the raid on the sheet. Only on sheets created with parses turned on.
RecapsThat night’s own parse per raider, the night’s average, damage, healing and deaths, and the awards.

Parse numbers are coloured in the bands players know from Warcraft Logs: 95 and up, 75 and up, 50 and up, 25 and up, and below 25.

Parses on a signup sheet

A sheet shows a parse only for the raid it is for. A raider with no parse in that raid has no number, even if they have parses elsewhere. A sheet with no instance set shows no parses. To turn parses on, see Create a raid.

What else a sync fixes

The addon sometimes records a boss kill as a wipe. When the log of the same night shows that pull as a kill, the sync corrects it, and the message says how many kills were corrected. A kill is never changed to a wipe.

Limits and notes

  • Characters are checked against the raid zones of your guild’s own game only, up to eight zones.
  • A raid that was never logged shows a recap without parses, awards or the damage table.
  • One Warcraft Logs report can cover several raids in one evening. Guild Pro reads only the fights that belong to each raid.
