Set up raid teams and raid nights
Create raid teams, give them colours, and set the standing nights each one raids.
A raid team is a name and a colour that labels raid nights, rosters, signup sheets and calendar entries. Teams are optional. A guild with one roster needs none. This page is for officers and admins.
Before you start
- Officers can view the Raid teams page. Only admins can add, change or remove teams and raid nights.
- Teams are labels, not permissions. Officers see every team.
Teams, rosters and raid comps
These four things are easy to confuse.
| Thing | What it is | Where you manage it |
|---|---|---|
| Raid team | A name and a colour. | Raid teams |
| Guild roster | Every character in the guild, by class and spec. | Guild roster |
| Team roster | The standing line-up for one team at one raid size: seats and a bench. | Roster Builder |
| Raid comp | Who is going on one raid night, built from one signup sheet. | Comp builder |
The roster is decided once. The comp is built from it for each raid night.
Add a team
- Open Raid teams in your guild’s sidebar, at
/g/your-guild/teams(“your-guild” is your guild’s address). - Under Teams, type a Name and pick a Colour.
- Select Add team.
Two teams cannot share a name. To rename a team or change its colour, edit the row in the table. The change saves as soon as you make it.
Select Remove to delete a team. Its raids, schedules and rosters stay, without a team label.
Set your raid nights
A raid night is a standing weekly slot, such as Thursday at 20:30.
- Under Raid schedule, fill in the row at the bottom:
- Team - a team, or — whole guild —.
- Day and Time, in your guild’s timezone.
- Instance - optional.
- Label - a name for nights that are not a raid.
- Notice - how many days ahead Guild Pro starts telling you the night has no signup sheet. Options run from 2 to 14 days.
- Select Add raid night.
Every cell in the schedule table can be edited in place, including Size. Changes save as you make them. Select Remove to delete a night.
What raid nights do
- The Calendar shows each night as planned until a sheet is posted for it.
- The Signups page lists nights that are inside their notice window with no sheet, with a Post it button.
- Guild Pro never posts a sheet for a raid night on its own from this page. It only tells you one is missing. Automatic posting is opt-in. See Automations.
What teams do
- A signup sheet created for a team can be routed to that team’s channel. See Channel routes.
- The Calendar can be filtered by team.
- The Guild roster gets a submenu with one entry per team.
- Each team can have its own rosters in the Roster Builder. A character can be on only one team’s roster.
