Change guild settings

Change your guild's name, realm, web address, game, timezone and legacy raid setting.

The Settings page holds the facts that are true of the whole guild: its name, realm, address, game and timezone. Only admins can open it. The owner of your Discord server is an admin automatically.

Open it at /g/your-guild/settings, where “your-guild” is your guild’s address.

Change the guild’s details

  1. On the Guild card, edit the fields you need.
  2. Press Save.
FieldWhat it does
NameThe guild’s name. Required. A new guild starts with the name of its Discord server, so check this first.
RealmThe realm you play on. For WoW Forever this is a dropdown of ruleset realms instead of a text box.
URLThe last part of your guild’s address, /g/your-guild.
ExpansionThe game this guild page plays. It decides which raids exist and how big they are.
TimezoneThe timezone your raid times are in.
Legacy raidsShow — earlier games’ raids too or Hide — this expansion only.

Things to know before you save

Changing the URL

  • The address is tidied to lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, up to 40 characters.
  • If another guild already uses it, you see a message that it is already in use.
  • After saving, the page moves to the new address. Old bookmarks and links pasted in Discord point at the old one, so change it rarely.

Changing the expansion

Changing Expansion moves this guild itself, with its teams, roster and loot, to the other game. The page warns you before you save.

If you want to run a second game beside the one you have, do not change this field. Use Add a game on the Games card instead. See Add Forever to your guild.

Legacy raids

A Burning Crusade guild may still run Molten Core on an off night. With Show, raids from the earlier games in the same line can be picked when you schedule. With Hide, only your own expansion’s raids are offered. It is set to Show by default.

The other cards on the page

  • Discord lists the Discord servers connected to the guild and whether signup and recap channels are set. Channels are chosen on the Bot page.
  • Games lists each game the guild runs and lets you add another.
  • Guild Master plan shows whether the plan is active and who is boosting it.
  • Raid teams & schedule links to the Raid teams page, where teams and standing raid nights now live.
