Check an auction price with /price
Use the /price command to see what an item costs on your realm's auction house.
/price shows the cheapest buyout for an item on your guild’s auction house, from the last scan a guild member’s addon made. Anyone in the server can run it.
Before you start
- The Discord must be connected to a guild, and the guild must have its realm set in Settings.
- Somebody must have scanned the auction house. It happens on its own: open the auction house with the Guild Pro addon installed, log out, and the Guild Pro app sends the prices. See How sync works.
Syntax
/price item:<item> [faction]
Options
| Option | What it sets | Allowed values | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
item | The item to look up. Required. | Start typing the name and pick from the list | None |
faction | Which side’s auction house. | Alliance, Horde | Your guild’s faction |
item
Type at least two letters. The bot suggests up to 25 items from the last scan, most plentiful first. You can also send what you typed without picking. The bot then looks for an exact name first, then the most plentiful item whose name contains what you typed.
faction
Prices are separate for each faction. If you leave faction out and nobody has scanned your guild’s side, the bot may answer with the other faction’s prices. The answer always says which realm and faction it shows.
Example
/price item:Primal Mana faction:Horde
What the bot posts
A public message titled with the item’s name. It shows:
- The price each and how many are listed, for example “12g 50s each · 6 listed”.
- How that compares with normal, once there are at least three earlier days of prices. For example “About normal” or “18% below normal”.
- If none are listed now: “None listed”, with the last price seen and when.
- The realm and faction, and how long ago the scan was made.
The message has no buttons. It can take a few seconds to appear.
Things to know
- A price is only as fresh as the last scan. Check the “scanned” time in the answer.
- In WoW Forever, auction houses are shared by ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplay, Hardcore) and faction, not by individual server. See Forever realms.
- If nothing matches, the bot replies that nothing with that name has been seen on that auction house.
- If nobody has scanned yet, the bot says which auction house it looked for and how to scan it.
- If your guild has no realm set, the bot asks you to set it in the guild’s settings.
- If the bot replies “Auction prices are not switched on for this site yet.”, the feature is not available yet.
