Read and share raid recaps

See what happened in each raid, post the recap to Discord, and share your own night with a link.

A recap is the record of one raid: bosses killed, wipes, loot, who was there, and who signed up but did not come. It is built from what the addon recorded. Every member of the guild can read recaps. Officers can post them to Discord.

Before you start

Recaps appear after the addon’s record of a raid is uploaded. See How sync works. Until then the page shows Nothing imported yet.

Read a recap

Open Recaps in your guild’s sidebar, at /g/your-guild/recaps (“your-guild” is your guild’s address). The page shows your guild’s 20 most recent recorded runs, split across tabs:

  • Raid recaps
  • Dungeon recaps
  • My recaps - shown when you are signed in.

Each recap shows:

  • A stats line: bosses down, wipes, drops, raiders, length in minutes, no-shows, and the night’s average parse if a log was matched.
  • The boss list. A tick marks a kill, with its time. A cross marks a boss that was only wiped on. Wipes are counted per boss.
  • Loot under the boss it dropped from, with who received it. A drop goes under the boss whose loot table lists the item. A number beside an item is the winning roll.
  • Not tied to a boss - drops that could not be placed under a kill, grouped by quality. See Loot history for the full rule.
  • A closing line comparing signups with attendance, for example “12 signed up · 11 zoned in”, naming anyone who said yes and never appeared.

Filter the loot

Use the Show buttons in the header to hide or show loot by quality: Legendary, Epic, Rare, Uncommon, Common and Junk. Select Boss loot only to hide drops not tied to a boss.

When the night was logged on Warcraft Logs

If the raid has been matched to a Warcraft Logs report, the recap also shows:

  • Hall of fame & shame - awards for the night, each naming one raider.
  • Damage, healing and parses - a table of every raider in the log, with a link to open the report on Warcraft Logs.

A raid with no matched log shows neither. See Parses for how matching works.

Post a recap to Discord

Officers and admins see two buttons on each recap.

  1. Optional: under Hall of fame & shame, select Choose awards and select the awards to include. Your choice is saved.
  2. Select Preview to see the recap card.
  3. Select Post to Discord.

The card is posted to your guild’s recap channel, with a Full recap button that links back to the page and a Warcraft Logs button when a log was matched. Loot you have hidden with the filter is left off the card. Posting also adds the chosen awards to the winners’ trophy cases. See Trophies and banners.

To set where recaps go, see Channel routes. To post a recap from Discord, use the /recap command.

Share your own night

The My recaps tab lists the raids one of your claimed characters was in. Each shows which character you were on, the items that came to you, and the boss list.

  1. Select Share on a night.
  2. Select Copy link and send the link to anyone.

The link opens a public page of your night only: your attendance, your loot and the boss list. Nobody else’s name is on it. Select Revoke to make the link stop working. Sharing the same night again gives you the same link.

You can only share a night that one of your claimed characters attended.

Limits and notes

  • The signup comparison on this page uses a signup sheet that starts on the same day as the raid. With no sheet that day, the recap says so and lists only who was there.
  • A raider who offered several characters on a flexible sheet and played one is not listed as a no-show.
  • On servers that fill groups with bots, bots are counted separately from raiders.
  • If Warcraft Logs shows a kill that the addon recorded as a wipe, syncing parses corrects the recap.
