Install the addon
Use the companion app to put the Guild Pro addons into your game, keep them updated, or remove them.
The Guild Pro addon records your raids, loot and attendance inside the game. The companion app installs it for you, along with the PvP and world addons that feed the rest of your profile. This page is for every player in the guild.
Before you start
- Install the companion app and sign in. See Install the companion app and Pair the app.
- The app must be able to see your game. If it cannot, add the folder under Settings, Watching, Add a WoW folder….
Which addons there are
| Addon | What it records | Installed by default |
|---|---|---|
| GuildPro | Raids, bosses, loot and attendance. Also your guild roster and auction prices. | Yes |
| PvPLedger | Kills, deaths and honour, by zone and by opponent. | Yes |
| MobMetrics | World kills and gold earned. | Yes |
All three are tagged needed by guildpro.io in the app, because they are where the website’s data comes from. The download page calls PvPLedger and MobMetrics “GuildPro PvP” and “GuildPro World”. They are the same addons.
Which game versions are supported
The app installs into:
- Classic Era (the 1.15 client, which also runs Hardcore and Season of Discovery)
- Burning Crusade Anniversary
- Mists of Pandaria
- WoW Forever, including the beta client
- Private server clients that keep the game in a
_classic_era_folder, once you add their folder
Retail is not supported. A client the app cannot install into shows a dash instead of a tick box.
There is no damage meter among the addons. WowIQ grades are worked out by the companion app from your combat log file after the pull, never in game. See Understand WoW IQ grades.
Settings in game
Every addon has a page in the game’s own options: press Escape, choose Options, then the AddOns tab. GuildPro is listed as Guild Pro, PvPLedger as Guild Pro: PvP and MobMetrics as Guild Pro: World.
Untick Show minimap button on that page to hide an addon’s minimap button. The addon keeps recording, and its slash command still opens it. Tick the box again to bring the button back. /gp options opens the Guild Pro page directly.
Install on first run
- After you sign in, the app shows Put the addons in your game, with one row per game version it found.
- Untick any version you do not play.
- Click Install into selected. This installs GuildPro, PvPLedger and MobMetrics. Click Not now to skip.
- Quit World of Warcraft completely and start it again.
/reloadwill not find a new addon.
Install or change addons later
- Open the Settings tab and find Addons in your game.
- Under Which addons, tick the addons you want.
- Under Which clients, tick the game versions to write to. A tick mark next to a client means the addons are already there.
- Click the install button. It reads Install into 1 client or Install into (number) clients, depending on what is ticked.
- Restart World of Warcraft.
Each client row also has its own Install or Reinstall button, so you can fix one game without touching the others.
Check it worked
Log in to a character. Chat shows “Guild Pro loaded. /gp opens the panel, or click the sword on your minimap.” and a sword button appears on the minimap. If neither appears, the game was probably running during the install. Quit it completely and start it again.
Updates
- When newer addons are published, Addons in your game shows a notice such as “1 addon update available”. Click Check for addon updates. The app downloads and installs them and says “Updated (number) addons — restart WoW to load them.”
- If nothing is newer, it says “The addons are already the current ones.”
- Updating the app itself also refreshes the addons it carries.
Automatic repair
Each time the app starts, it checks the clients that already have GuildPro installed. If one of your addons has been deleted or is out of date, or an old WowIQ addon is still installed, the app fixes it and the Activity list says “addons were missing or out of date and have been put back — restart World of Warcraft completely to load them”. A client you never installed into is never touched.
Uninstall
Click Uninstall on a client’s row under Which clients. This removes the GuildPro, PvPLedger and MobMetrics folders from that client’s Interface\AddOns folder, plus an old WowIQ folder if one is still there, and nothing else. Your recorded data is kept. It lives in the WTF folder, which the app never deletes from, so reinstalling brings everything back.
