Control what your profile reveals

Choose whether gold boards show your name and whether your characters are linked in public.

Character pages on Guild Pro are public, in the same way an armory page is. Two things are private until you turn them on: your name on gold boards, and the link between your characters. This page is for every player.

Before you start

Sign in.
Both switches are on /me, on the Your characters tab. They save as soon as you change them.

What is always public

Once a character has been uploaded, its page shows its name, class, realm, guild, attendance, parses, trophies, and PvP and world records. These are the same numbers the public boards already show. There is no switch to hide a character’s page.

Your Discord account is never shown on a public page.

Show your name on gold boards

Gold totals are public, but the names on them are not. Your rows appear as “Anonymous” unless you opt in. You always see your own name.

Open /me.
Under Gold on public boards, tick Show my character names on gold boards.

With this on, Gold looted also appears on your characters’ public pages. Untick it to go back to anonymous.

Link your characters together

Each character has its own public page either way. This switch decides whether those pages say they belong to the same player.

Open /me.
Under Alt links on public profiles, tick Link my characters together on public profiles.

With this on, each page shows a Same player: strip linking to your other characters. With it off, nobody can tell your main from a stranger.

Good to know

Both switches are off until you turn them on.
If a switch cannot be saved, it flips back and the page says why, so what you see always matches what is stored.
A distinctive banner worn by two characters can hint that they share an owner. If you keep alts private, pick a popular universal banner or give the alt a different one. See Trophies and banners.
Being listed on the recruitment board is separate and also opt-in. A listing lasts 30 days. See Recruitment board.
