Post a signup sheet with /raid
Use the /raid command to post a raid signup sheet in Discord, with every option explained.
/raid posts a signup sheet in the channel where you type it. Raiders sign up with the buttons under the sheet. This page is for officers and admins.
Before you start
- You need the officer or admin role in Guild Pro. Otherwise the bot replies “Only officers can post a raid.”
- The Discord must be connected to your guild. See Install the Discord bot.
- Run the command in the channel where you want the sheet.
/raiddoes not use the Signups channel route.
Syntax
/raid [title] [instance] [size] [when] [mode] [splits] [parses]
Every option is optional.
Options
| Option | What it sets | Allowed values | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
title | What to call the sheet. | Any text | Raid night |
instance | Which raid. | Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, Magtheridon’s Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, Mount Hyjal, Black Temple, Sunwell Plateau, Zul’Aman | None |
size | Raid size. | A whole number | The raid’s own size when your guild’s game has that raid, otherwise 25 |
when | Start time, read in your guild’s timezone. | See below | No time set |
mode | What the sheet asks for. | One character each (default), or Flexible — sign up on every character you could bring | One character each |
splits | How many times you run this raid in one lockout. | 2 to 6 | No splits |
parses | Prints each raider’s synced Warcraft Logs parse beside their name. | True or False | False |
when
Type the time the way you would say it. It is read in your guild’s timezone, which is set in Settings.
| You type | Meaning |
|---|---|
8pm, 8:30pm, 20:30 | Today at that time. If that time has passed, tomorrow. |
tomorrow 8pm | Tomorrow. |
friday 20:30, fri 8pm, next friday 8pm | The coming Friday. If Friday’s time has already passed today, next week. |
9/4 6:30pm, 9/4/2026 6:30pm | Month first, then day. With no year, a date already past means next year. |
sept 11 8pm, 11 september 8pm | A named month. |
2026-09-04 18:30 | Year, month, day. |
A Discord timestamp such as <t:1788561000>, or Unix seconds | That exact moment. |
A time of day is required. If the bot cannot read what you typed, the sheet posts with “time not set”. On the sheet, the time shows in each reader’s own timezone.
mode and splits
- One character each: one signup per person. Pressing a different button moves them.
- Flexible: a raider can sign up on several characters. They are slotted once, and the raid leader picks which.
splits: turns the sheet into a split sheet with runs named Split 1, Split 2 and so on. Raiders sign up every character they can bring. Settingsplitsto 2 or more overridesmode. Numbers above 6 are treated as 6.
parses
Numbers only appear when you also set instance. The number is the raider’s median parse for that raid. A raider with no logs in that raid shows no number.
Example
/raid title:Kara Thursday instance:Karazhan when:thursday 8pm parses:True
What the sheet looks like
- The title, then the raid and size, for example “Karazhan · 10-player”, then the start time.
- A count for each role: Tank, Healer, Melee, Ranged.
- A Tank column, then one column per class. Each name has a number showing the order people signed up.
- Lists for Bench, Tentative, Late and Absent when anyone is in them.
- A footer such as “7 of 10 signed · 3 more needed”. The count is people, not characters.
Buttons on the sheet
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tank, Healer, Melee, Ranged | Signs you up in that role. The bot asks privately which character you are bringing. |
| Tentative, Late, Bench, Can’t make it | Sets your status straight away. |
| My characters | On flexible and split sheets only. Shows the characters you offered and lets you remove one. |
The sheet updates in place after every press. For the full signup flow from a raider’s side, see Signups.
Things to know
- Once a sheet is closed, its buttons are disabled and presses answer “Signups are closed for this raid.” The Close the sheet automation can close sheets for you after the raid starts.
- If the Discord is not connected to a guild, the bot replies “This Discord is not connected yet.”
