Use the control panel
Post an announcement, chase unanswered rosters and review what the bot did, from one page.
The control panel gathers the bot’s most-used actions on one page. It is for officers and admins.
Before you start
- Open Control panel: /g/your-guild/control, where “your-guild” is your guild’s address. It sits directly under Overview in the guild sidebar.
- You need the officer role to use it.
- To post an announcement, the Announcements route must be set. See Choose where the bot posts.
Post an announcement
- Under Say something, type your message. It can be up to 1,500 characters.
- Select Post announcement.
The first line becomes the headline. Anything after the first line break becomes the body. The post goes to your Announcements channel, and the note under the box reads “Posted.” when it lands.
Chase people who have not answered a roster
Chase the silent lists up to five upcoming published rosters that have a start time.
- Find the roster.
- Select Chase now.
The bot DMs only the people on that roster who have not answered. The note under the list says how many were asked and names anyone it could not reach.
- A chase you press yourself sends straight away. Quiet hours and the daily cap only hold back the automation.
- If the list is empty, publish a roster with a start time from the comp builder first.
- If everybody has already answered, nothing is sent.
- A roster published before Discord accounts were stored on its slots cannot be chased. Publish it again.
To have this happen on its own each day, switch on Chase the silent on the Automations page.
Automations
The Automations section lists each automation with a switch, the steps it follows and where it lands.
- Admins can flip a switch here to turn an automation on or off. It is the same switch as on the Automations page. Officers can see the state but cannot change it.
- To change timing or the channel, select timing & channel →, or open the Automations page.
Shortcuts
