Setup checklist
Follow the steps, in order, that take a new guild from sign-in to its first recorded raid.
This is the full path for a guild master or admin setting up a new guild. Each step links to the page that explains it. Raiders only need steps 1, 6 and 7.
Before you start
You need to own your guild’s Discord server, or have Manage Server in it.
The checklist
- Sign in with Discord. See Sign in.
- Create your guild. Add the bot to your Discord server from /dashboard and answer the setup questions. See Create your guild and Install the bot.
- Check where the bot posts. Open the Bot page in your guild and confirm a channel is set for signups, rosters, recaps, loot and announcements. See Channel routes and Bot permissions.
- Check your teams and raid nights. Open Raid teams and confirm each team’s schedule. See Teams.
- Give your officers access. Promote them on Members & alts. See Ranks and admins.
- Install the addon and the companion app. The app installs the addons into every WoW client it finds. See Install the companion app and Install the addon.
- Pair the app with your account. See Pair the app. Your characters attach to your account as they sync. See Claim a character.
- Post your first raid. Click + New raid on the guild overview. See Create a raid and Signups.
- Raid, then check the result. After the night, look at Attendance, Loot history and Recaps.
Good to know
- Only one person in the raid needs the addon running for the night to be recorded.
- The companion app is optional. Without it, type
/gp exportin game and paste the result on /import. See Import by hand. - Until a raid has been imported, the guild overview shows a Nothing here yet card listing what is still missing.
- Every step above is free. See What is free.
