Post a roster call with /rostercall

Use the /rostercall command to ask your guild which main and alts they will play in WoW Forever.

/rostercall posts a sheet where members pick the class and spec of their main and alts for WoW Forever. It has no date and no raid. It asks what people will play, not whether they are coming. This page is for officers and admins.

Before you start

  • Your guild needs a WoW Forever guild on Guild Pro. If it does not have one, the bot replies “This Discord has no WoW Forever guild yet.” An admin can add one in Settings. See Add Forever to your guild.
  • You need the officer or admin role. Otherwise the bot replies “Only officers can post a roster call.”
  • Run the command in the channel where you want the sheet.

Syntax

/rostercall [title] [message]

What the sheet looks like

The bot posts a Mains card with a count, and lists under these headings:

  • Tanks and Healers: one list each.
  • Melee and Ranged: broken out by class. A class appears once somebody picks it.
  • Undecided: shown when anyone chose it.

Names are Discord display names, each with a spec icon.

When the first person adds an alt, the bot posts a second Alts card as its own message underneath, laid out the same way. It is removed if the last alt is removed.

Buttons on the sheet

ButtonWhat it does
My MainOpens a private prompt: choose a class, then a spec. Press it again later to change your main.
My AltsOpens your private alts list. Add an alt, or pick one to change or remove.

In the prompts, members can also choose:

  • Undecided: puts them on the Undecided list instead of a class.
  • Remove my main or Remove this alt: takes that answer off the sheet.
  • Back: returns to the previous step.

Everything a member sees while answering is private. The public sheet updates a moment after each answer.

Things to know

  • One main per person. Choosing again replaces it.
  • Up to 5 alts per person. An alt cannot repeat the same class, spec and role as your main or another alt, so those specs are hidden from the list.
  • A spec that can fill two roles is offered once per role, so tanks and healers are counted correctly.
  • Every roster call starts empty and keeps its own answers. A test sheet and the real sheet do not share them.
  • On a closed roster call the buttons are disabled and presses answer “This roster call is closed.”
  • A very large guild may see “+N more” at the end of a list instead of every name.
